"Descent" is the seventeenth episode of the seventh season of Arby 'n' the Chief.
Summary[]
A jarring glimpse of two weeks into the future teases a terrible fate for the toys. Following the memorial service crash, the toys find themselves at the peak of their happiness. Eugene and Tyler obsessively await Brody's reappearance. Arbiter has a revealing conversation with Colin.
Plot[]
The episode opens with a flash-forward with Arbiter contemplating jumping out of the apartment window while Chief's torn off lower body lies motionless in the bathroom.
Two weeks earlier, Arbiter and Chief are drinking alcohol in the kitchen. Chief asks about Jon's Guy Fawkes mask hanging on the wall. Arbiter tells Chief about the Gunpowder Plot. Later on, Arbiter and Chief join Eugene's clan in a match, and converse with Colin while Tyler, who had been watching Kyle's house for an entire day, informs Eugene that he never went outside once. In turn, Eugene tells Tyler that Brody never left his house either. Eugene realizes that they would have to either leave their house or go online eventually, after which they plan to get Fragban out of the duo's hands by convincing them to give it to the clan.
Meanwhile, Colin asks why Arbiter took Chief as a friend of all people, to which Arbiter tells him that circumstances threw and kept them together, forcing them to dig for friends in each other. Arbiter asks why he had spared them a month and a half ago when he nearly bricked their console, and Colin reveals to him that he had owed Eugene a favor when he helped dissolve a legal issue for Colin.
Tyler attempts to frag another player, but he breaks his controller out of rage when the player escapes while Tyler deals with his dog, Charlie. Colin remarks that that was Tyler's seventeenth broken controller and that he was a maniac, adding that the amount of Eugene's plans for trolling were staggering, and that all of them are a little crazy.
Some time after, Chief wakes up from another hangover and goes to urinate. While doing so, Cortana appears next to Chief and ominously asks "Rough morning?" and Chief wheels around in horror.
