Showdown is the fifth episode of the third season of Arby 'n' the Chief, and the final episode of the Professional story arc.
Summary[]
It's on; handing Master Chief beer after beer to help psyche him up, the Arbiter stands alongside Master Chief during his showdown against Craig, a cocky MLG player. However, the Arbiter has a plan to tip the scales in Master Chief's favor.
Plot[]
The episode starts just before the fight with Craig with Chief asking Arbiter for another beer because Chief thinks that 'b33r maeks meh pleh liek profishinal'. Arbiter distracts Chief by saying that the can of beer is 'non-alcoholic' and turns his controller off. Chief realizes that the can is alcoholic and accuses Arbiter of lying. Arbiter wishes Chief luck but he replies saying he doesn't need luck because Arbiter said he was awesome. He prepares to play, unbeknownst to him that Arbiter is actually the one playing. In the match, Craig's MLG status is fully revealed to be fraudulent. As he swiftly gains the upper hand against "Chief" (Arbiter) by revealing his primary tactics of using power weapons and camping. None of which are permitted in almost all MLG matches. After being killed several times in game, Chief gets up to drink more beer and realizes that he is still playing in game. Realizing that his controller was off and that Arbiter is the one actually playing, Chief runs off crying thinking that Arbiter thinks he sucks. Back in the game, Craig boasts about being good at the game and starts jacking off, all while saying he was the best. Arbiter apologizes about not having faith in Chief, and that Chief could do whatever he set his mind to. Chief, now fully motivated, goes to beat Craig.
Miraculously while Craig is masturbating, his mother enters the room asking what he wanted for dinner, and catches him red-handed in the act. His father soon comes running wonder what was happening, and they all begin to argue. Craig's mom is horrified by what her son is doing while his father seems uninterested whatsoever with the situation, at one point even saying "good for you". In the middle of the argument between Craig and his parents, Chief racks up a high amount of kills against Craig, who was too busy arguing with his parents to pay any real attention to the game. By the time Craig starts paying attention to the game again, Master Chief says "MLG?? I DISAGREE!!" and kills him by firing a sniper rifle at various explosive objects behind him which explode, outnumbering him in death count and the match ends with Chief victorious. With his so-called reputation ruined by the fact that he lost to Master Chief, Craig breaks down and starts crying, sobbing that nobody will like him anymore. Arbiter then said that nobody gave a fuck, calling him a "blubbering suck-ass pussy" before turning the Xbox off.
The next day, Master Chief is seen giving "advice" to other players, now that he has taken Craig's spot as the proclaimed MLG, complete with Craig's former girlfriend at his side. However Chief and his girlfriend quickly break up once Chief makes a sexist remark.
